3 Glass Blowing Classes in the Greater Vancouver Area:
An object class sees students with a choice to collectively pick one of a spherical paperweight or shallow dish. After choosing their colours and a demonstration from the instructor each attendee gets a chance to make their own. Objects will cool overnight and can be picked up around noon the following day, or shipping can be arranged. We require a minimum of two students from a single social group or household, aged 16+. The cost is $175 a student and allows 45 minutes to 1 hour per student.
This course will give you basic introductory skills in the hot shop, including how to gather, make a paperweight, blow bubbles and create your first blown glass vessel. You will learn about tools, studio safety and how to work in a team to have fun and blow glass! All materials are included. No experience necessary. Fee subject to change.
This class is for people that are interested into trying flameworking for fun and want to bring a couple of souvenir made in class back home, great for birthday present or special couple experience, student will be making a glass pendant and a small sculpture in this introduction to flameworking. The picture below show previous student completed project, a fish, a turtle and some pendant.
