This is a great hands on, introductory class for anyone who has ever wanted to learn how to make Cold Process Soap. Learn how to make soap the traditional, artisan way using pure vegetable oils, essential oils, fragrances, clays, herbs, and mineral colourants. This class will teach you all the basic steps and processes of cold process soap making, from weighing and measuring to working safely with sodium hydroxide, colouring, scenting, bringing to trace, and using molds. Students will work in tables of four to make 3 types of soap: a traditional 100% Pure Castile soap bar scented with pure essential oil, a moisturizing Clay and Shea bar, and a Beeswax, Oatmeal Milk & Honey soap bar. You will take home all soaps made in class as well as an information and recipe package so you can continue your soap making at home!
